WELCOME ANGLE ZED Droughtmasters graze the EU accredited properties of 'Durack' and 'Somerset' located east of Baralaba, Central Queensland, in the Dawson / Don River watersheds. The stud's motto of 'Production, Profit & Satisfaction' drives the management programs of the operation, with attention to selection detail and client satisfaction being key factors. As a result strong performances at the National Droughtmaster Sale in Rockhampton have been achieved.
Principal; Bill Zahnleiter, a 4th generation cattleman, first became involved with commercial droughtmasters in the 1970's and has spent much of his working life in managerial positions in both the extensive and intensive cattle industry. This experience now benefits both his stud and commercial cattle operation which has been built up 'hands on' over the past 16 years. Angle Zed Droughtmasters are fertile, quiet, well muscled, structurally sound cattle which will profitably produce easy finishing cattle and may be found as sires across a range of Northern Australian breeding herds. This commercial flexibility ensures premiums in the domestic and export markets can be achieved together with live export suitability.
Benchmarking and complementing the Angle Zed Stud is the EU/MSA accredited commercial herd with progeny going direct to meatworks off grass, leucaena or sometimes grain. Private / paddock enquiries account for the majority of bull and heifer sales, with many going to repeat Visitors are most welcome and a very enjoyable aspect of the seed stock business.
